This four-story neo-Baroque palace with an inner courtyard, built in 1902, was once the headquarters of the Adria Hungarian Royal Shipping Company. The former Adria Co's maritime connection is the building's distinguishing feature. The interiors of the building reflect the international center's character, with woodcarvings, mosaics, silk wallpaper, marble fireplaces, Venetian mirrors, and wrought-iron fences.
In 2020, work began on restoring the building, which had been vacant for years and had been used as a set for American and Hungarian film productions. We were hired to design the interior. The task was to design an exclusive club complete with a bar, meeting rooms, club rooms, and a lounge.
