Semmelweis development project XXI

Semmelweis development project XXI

Location: Budapest, Hungary
Planning Area: 11,550 sqm
Services: architecture, interior design
Status: under permit procedure

The purpose of the planned investment is to create a university campus in the area of the university buildings in Hőgyes Endre Street in the IX. district of Budapest and the adjacent former Schöpf-Merei Hospital, which can house the educational, research and pharmaceutical manufacturing functions of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Semmelweis University, replacing the existing, overloaded buildings with a future-oriented, modern building complex, which will preserve the long-standing patina and values of the Faculty

The six institutes of the Faculty of Pharmacy are currently spread over three sites. The investment will bring the faculty's institutes onto one site, eliminating the need for travel to the city for teaching and management. This will make the daily lives of students, teachers, researchers and managers easier and more efficient

A central education building is planned next to the renovated Schöpf-Mérei hospital, with large lecture, theory, practice and seminar rooms

The planned investment aims to replace the existing, overstressed buildings with a forward-thinking complex of buildings capable of meeting future challenges
